Roman is a Westmount alumni, attending the University of Ottawa in the fall. He works tirelessly, advocating for social change, ensuring opportunities are made available to students equitably, and promoting the power of youth through several non-profit organizations. He is also very interested in political matters, as shown by his involvement and achievements, including representing Canada as its sole youth delegate at the World Forum for Democracy in Strasbourg, France this past November alongside representatives from over 150 countries, and is thrilled to once again be representing his country as a Junior Team Canada Ambassador in China.

Samuel has recently graduated from the International Baccalaureate program at Champlain College Saint-Lambert. He will pursue his education with MEI International Academy, where he will travel in 10 different countries to learn more about their history, their culture and their economy. Samuel is passionate by economics, finances and mathematics and is driven by the idea to make a difference in his community.
Samuel is also involved within his hometown. He has founded a non-profit organisation with his classmates, ExportxSupport, and he is a soccer referee for the local soccer association. Samuel will be taking part to his second trade mission with Global Vision, and he looks forward to further represent his community and Canada at-large in this upcoming mission to China.

Shangbing is currently in grade 11 enrolled in the TOPs program at Bloor Collegiate. She is actively involved with business and in her community, from being a youth mentor to camp councilor. With her strong passion for business she is honored to be a DECA provincial officer for the upcoming year. She is also actively involved with organizing and planning events for her school as the social convener. Shangbing, is honored to get to represent the Canadian education system on a global scale and creating stronger global connections.

Sophia is currently a grade 11 student at the Northern Secondary School. She is actively involved in global innovation and community building activities, and is a team member of the Global Ideas Institute, to solve a multi-faceted pressing global issues. She loves business and finance and is the finance executive on her school's United Way Committee. Sophia looks forward to representing the Canadian education and finance sector and building lasting relationships.

Srijain is currently finishing his last year as a senior at Fredericton High School.  In the fall he will attend the University of New Brunswick studying sciences. He volunteers at the hospital and his local community often. Srijain loves communicating and creating relationships with individuals and was a communications officer at his school. Srijain looks forward to representing the agricultural and technology sectors and building strong bonds. 

Bishop Allen Academy

Susan is a grade 11 student in the Advanced Placement program at Bishop Allen Academy. She is exceptionally involved in her local community and is an active leader in her school. She is a member of her school’s student council, the co-founder of her school’s Young Blood for Life initiative with Canadian Blood Services, and the co-Secretary General for the model united nations conference – BAMUN. Susan has a keen interest in urban policy mobilities, global governance issues, and engineering. Most importantly, she is thrilled to be a part of Junior Team Canada and looks forward to representing her partners and community while in China!

Thomas is currently a first year student at Huron College at the University of Western Ontario, where he is majoring in English and minoring in Business. He is actively involved with his fraternity, his faculty orientation team, and with his own interests in securities law, and sports. He has gained basic legal experience through working in law firms in Toronto during his summers, and has plans to go to law school and attain his degree. Thomas looks forward to representing the Canadian education system and securities law sectors, while building lasting relationships with colleagues.

Vera is currently a senior student immersed in the Claude Watson Arts Program at Earl Haig Secondary School. She is interested in entrepreneurship and design, being the Vice President and co-founder of award-winning company Sitto and an active freelancer for graphic design jobs. She represents Sitto as Junior Achievement’s Vice President of Marketing of the Year and SAGE Canada’s Socially Responsible Enterprise winner. Vera values student voice and the development of youth programs; she represents TDSB SuperCouncil as Conference Chair, HOSA Canada, and Earl Haig Student Activity Council. She looks forward to establishing international relationships within Toronto’s education, tourism, and real estate sectors.

Yifan Zhang is a Grade 11 student at Earl Haig Secondary School. He is actively participating in business related activities such as DECA, which he won third place overall at Regional’s competition and top 15 for written exam at Provincial’s, and Junior Achievement. Having lived half of his life in China, Yifan is aware of the cultural differences between Canada and China and wishes to strengthen the bond between the two countries. He will be representing the Canadian Technology and Finance sectors on this trade mission to China and hopes to create cooperative relationships.

Yingning is currently a rising senior at Earl Haig Secondary School. She is actively involved in entrepreneurial and business activities, having found an award winning technology start-up Sitto in 2016. Furthermore, she is artistically inclined through film and photography, and she is keen for science. Yingning has resided as executive on her Student Leadership Council for the past 3 years, spearheaded the Zoom International Student Film Festival, and worked as an executive in many local and national organizations. Yingning looks forward to representing the Canadian education and finance sectors and building lasting relationships on this Trade Mission.

Zunaira graduated from Western University with honors in international relation and will be attending graduate school at OttawaU for public and international affairs. She is interested in gaining expertise in East Asia, specifically China's evolution of legal institution in relation to foreign investment and looks forward to making this her thesis' focus. She is as passionately interested in immigration and migration policies within Canadian politics which is deeply rooted in her own identity of being Canadian-Pakistani. In her time off, she enjoys analyzing stories through film, writing and reading. As well, she continues to make running a part of her lifestyle and she credits that to her grade 6 running club! Zunaira looks forward to learning, growing and realizing her potential by getting to know the world around her.
