Samuel Chen

Samuel is a first-year commerce student studying at the University of British Columbia. His curiosity for political economics, international relations, and anthropology have led him to attend multiple Global Vision events; most notably, the 2018 Trade Mission to China, the 2019 National Youth Ambassador Caucasus (NYAC), and the 2019 Digital Citizenship Ambassador Summit (DCAS). After seeing firsthand the transformative nature of business on his trade mission, Samuel hopes to use business as a vehicle to drive social change. Consequently, he’s currently most interested in impact investing, private equity, and venture capitalism. In his spare time, he enjoys reading/listening to Malcolm Gladwell's books and podcasts, going on spontaneous adventures, and trying out new restaurants.
