Global Vision led a successful Junior Team Canada Trade Mission to China to promote Canadian industry and culture in one of the world’s largest economies. 35 Junior Team Canada Ambassadors were selected from a national competition with hundreds of applicants, who were all chosen for their commitment to their communities and country as well as their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

Each Junior Team Canada Ambassador was responsible for partnering with businesses, governments, educational institutions and organizations in their communities to raise CAD 6,000 in sponsorship. Global Vision funds the remaining costs through national and regional partnerships.

Working with the Embassy of Canada, the Canada-China Business Council and other in-market partners, Global Vision coordinated opportunities for our Junior Team Canada delegation to engage Chinese industry, government, education and youth leaders in order to obtain market intelligence and key contacts for our Canadian partners.

From July 25-August 9, 2018, Junior Team Canada Ambassadors focused on commercial opportunities for Canadian enterprises in economic sectors with particular growth potential in the Chinese marketplace: agriculture, bio-tech, clean-tech, education, engineering, information communications technology, manufacturing, mining, natural resources, and tourism.

Upon our return, Global Vision and our Junior Team Canada Ambassadors produced market sector and tailored reports for our partners, which included market intelligence gathered, opportunities identified, and contacts generated.
