Day 7 Malaysia

It was a special day for Junior Team Canada as we set out on our mission to brand Canadian education. Taylor’s University College is a pre-university program which sends hundreds of students to universities all across the world. It was here that Junior Team Canada chose to present a taste of Canadian university education to over 500 eager students. Using personal experience on top of important information about our universities, we were able to provide these young students with the facts they need and the knowledge they want. “The students were very engaged in what you had to say” remarked Jim Leonard, the principal of Taylor’s. The team, representing UBC, U of S, Carleton and McGill, provided a coast to coast picture of studying in Canada.

To complete this successful day, we were invited to the High Commissioners residence. We had an opportunity to thank all of the wonderful individuals who contributed to making this mission possible. Local business leaders were also invited, so we networked with young entrepreneurs interested in penetrating the Canadian market. A successful day, a gratifying night, and an already complete week closes the formal structure of the mission.  We are now working through the night to get all of the blogs updated and videos edited before Monday’s departure.
